Former Clemson DB to sign with Seahawks

Vegas still confident in Seahawks Seattle favored for Monday night

Miami Dolphins cornerback Byron Maxwell (41) is called for pass interference on New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall (15) at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on November 6, 2016.

Maxwell arrived in Seattle Sunday and had a meeting with the Seahawks today and has agreed to a one-year deal, according to reports.

Sherman suffered his injury during Seattle's 22-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night, leaving the Seahawks with only four healthy cornerbacks (Jeremy Lane, Neiko Thorpe, Shaquill Griffin, and Justin Coleman), and Maxwell knows their system. The veteran corner started opposite of Sherman and played a huge role during the Seahawks back-to-back Super Bowl appearances in 2013 and 2014.

Maxwell played for Seattle from 2011-14, making him a founding member of the Legion of Boom, before signing as a free agent with the Eagles and then being traded a year later to Miami. Things did not go well in Philly and Maxwell was traded to the Dolphins previous year.

Google Home can now be used as an intercom with Broadcast feature
Do you have to say "broadcast"? Rather than yelling or texting them, you can broadcast your voice through Google Home. Google has customized certain activities like waking up, dinner, and bedtime with a "playful message" and sound.

Prior to his time in Miami, Maxwell spent the first four seasons of his career with the Seahawks, meaning this is a homecoming of sorts.

Schefter is reporting that Maxwell's contract is a one-year deal. Seattle's signing of Maxwell does not impact Miami's salary cap situation.

Maxwell fell out of favor with the Dolphins after losing his starting job earlier this season.
