Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones out for a month, report claims

Report Packers RB Aaron Jones sprained MCL in win

Green Bay Packers rookie standout Aaron Jones is expected to miss several weeks with an MCL injury, according ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Jones is expected to miss about a month - specifically 3-6 weeks.

The fifth-round pick's absence, no matter how long, takes on extra significance considering Montgomery was also forced from Sunday's action with a rib injury. After not receiving a carry the first two games of the season, he emerged as Green Bay's top option in the backfield as initial starter Ty Montgomery dealt with injuries of his own.

Is iOS 11.11 Really Worth the Update?
Hopefully YouTube are working away on this now, and we'll see an update in the coming days which will put an end to this problem. Reportedly, the iOS YouTube app is consuming excessive battery power, even when it's closed and running in the background.

Jones, who rushed for 125-plus yards twice in October, was carted off the field in the first half of Sunday's 23-16 win over the Bears after gaining 12 yards on three carries. "Looks like he got his right foot stuck on the turf and bends underneath him on the tackle".

Two other rookies, Jamaal Williams and Devante Mays, are the only healthy running back on the Packers' roster. They would rather split carries, but they will still have a running game while Jones is out.

Coach Mike McCarthy confirmed Monday that Jones' knee is a "multiple-week injury". He is the team's second-leading rusher (273 yards on 71 carries) with three TDs.
