Judgement reserved in Imran Khan's disqualification case

Imran appears before court granted bail in all cases

An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday approved bail of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan in four cases including attack on building of Pakistan Television and parliament.

The trust deed was submitted before the Supreme Court during the proceedings of the disqualification case and after careful examination and consultation with experts, Tareen's ownership of the house has been confirmed, reported a private media outlet. The amount to invest in offshore company was sent from Pakistan, the remarks added.

During the hearing, Justice Saqib Nisar asked if hiding assets in the nomination paper was a mistake or deliberate lying.

The court ATC is hearing three cases regarding the attack on the then Islamabad Operations SSP Asmatullah Junejo and state buildings during the 2014 protest sit-in by PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT). Trust is a lawful institute and the shares of offshore company are in accordance with the trust.

Justice Nisar said the court had to decide whether PTI chief was an honest man and the verdict should not to be expected anytime soon.

Responding to the chief justice's observation that the offshore company was still not declared, Bukhari stated that neither his client was the beneficial owner of the company nor its shareholder which is why it was not declared.

Akram Sheikh, the lawyer representing Abbasi, claimed that the the PTI chief had changed his stance 18 times.
