North Korean media calls for death penalty for Trump

North Korea ‘sentences Trump to death

It comes as the ex-director of the Government Communications Headquarters, Robert Hannigan, warned that the WannaCry ransomware attack on the NHS in May is only the beginning of despot leader Kim Jong-un's cyber war.

Of course, Trump is a not your average world leader.

The Rodong Sinmun on Sunday issued an article titled "Trump laid bare his true nature as destroyer of the world peace in his Asia tour", criticizing his remarks and speeches during trips to South Korea, Japan and China.

Trump is now on a tour of Asia, taking in Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines, during which he has urged allies to increase sanctions against North Korea. Its state-run media has run a number of unflattering descriptions of Trump, including the memorable use of the word "dotard" in September.

What would hurt you more, being called "old" or being accused of being a lunatic?

These insults come at a time of heightened tension between Washington and Pyongyang.

Real Madrid star welcomes Neymar to the Santiago Bernabeu
Reports emerged last week that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez had met with Neymar's father to discuss a move back to Spain .

Delury said the Rodong Sinmun commentary was a "tit for tat" response to Trump's recent rhetoric, but added it remains to be seen if this blowing off of steam will be enough for North Korea's system to absorb the insults to its leader, or if more action will be needed.

However, the insults also fit into a long tradition of insulting American leaders.

Arriving in Seoul on Tuesday, U.S. special representative for North Korea policy Joseph Yun told the local press he was not sure whether North Korea's break from nuclear testing would last, but he thought it was a "good start".

During the president's address in South Korea, he "painted a black picture of the [Democratic People's Republic of Korea], spouting all sorts of rubbish against it", North Korean state media asserted. But he doesn't focus in on the fact that Kim Jong Un called him a lunatic.

The article also said Trump was a coward for cancelling a visit to the North Korea border, a decision that was made because of poor weather conditions.

That speech was drawn up carefully with the input of others in Trump's administration. Trump has denied that his campaign coordinated in any way with Moscow during last year's presidential campaign, and he said Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin again denied any involvement in trying to influence the US elections when Trump spoke with him at a regional summit in Danang, Vietnam.
