Shared by MS resident Spring Herbison Bowlin, the post describes a cashier act of kindness towards a shopper. As she was standing in line at the check-out, she noticed the older man in front of her struggling to pay.
He stated, "This gentleman's items were scanned and he was given the total".
The man began taking fistfuls of change out of his pockets. He miscounts and starts to get flustered.
She said that his hands and voice were shaking as he attempted to take the change out. Then the cashier stepped in. That's when the cashier took his hand and dumped the change on the counter.
The cashier intervened and assured him that everything was going to be okay. Ms Bowlin was waiting in line at a superstore while the man before her in the line paid for his purchase.
When the transaction was over and the man walked away, Bowlin thanked the cashier for being so kind and patient with him.
She responded, "You shouldn't have to thank me, baby. What's wrong with our world is we've forgotten how to love one another", she said, according to the post.
Bowlin's post has been shared more than 14,500 times on Facebook and has 23,000 likes.
What's more heartwarming is what the cashier tells Ms Bowlin once the man leaves. In the photo's caption, she recounted the story. "Blessings to everyone involved", wrote one commenter on WHBQ's Facebook page.
