Sea of Thieves Technical Alpha Sign-Ups Close Next Week

Sea of Thieves is an Xbox Play Anywhere game, and it's one of the more anticipated exclusives coming to Xbox One and Windows 10. It has been a year since its first Technical Alpha was announced and things have evolved quite a bit, housing an initial 1,000 players to nearly 200,000 at its peak. Since Rare launched the game's Insider Program last November, the number of players grew from just 1,000 to over 200,000. In the space of a year we've scaled up from that first wave of 1,000 players to nearly 200,000.

To sign up, you need an Xbox Live Account and must be 18 years or older.

Sea of Thieves has been teased for quite a while.

The programme grants access to other perks and bonuses, as well as regular communication updates on Sea of Thieves' development. As Sea of Thieves is an online multiplayer game, Xbox Live Gold membership is also required when sailing the seas on Xbox One.

For those who sign up in time, they will be invited to the next play session for the game, which will be Sea of Thieves second.
