The Defense ministry's statements in English claimed that Russian drones filmed Islamic State convoys fleeing Syrian and Russian airstrikes along the Iraqi-Syrian border on November 9. The town is one of the last "Islamic State" (IS) strongholds in Syria, located on the Euphrates River near Iraq.

The ministry has published photos showing that the armed extremists while they were leaving Abu Kamal for the Syrian-Iraqi border.

In violation of a previously reached agreement, attack aircraft of the coalition entered the airspace over Abu Kamal to hamper the work of the Russian air force, the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry also said that the US coalition categorically refused to strike the retreating terrorists in spite of repeated proposals by the Russian military to conduct joint actions.

"The US side categorically refused to carry out airstrikes against Daesh terrorists, claiming that the militants were "voluntarily surrendering" and now fell under the provisions of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War", the statement read.

India lose to Bangladesh, knocked out of U-19 Asia Cup
The defeat meant that Bangladesh and Nepal, from Group A, will join Pakistan and Afghanistan, respectively, in the semi-finals. With one win and two defeats in three matches, India U-19 finished third in Group A - above hosts Malaysia.

The retreating IS fighters were equipped with "military vehicles and heavy weapons", they added.

Moscow also accused the USA of a plot to create a "pro-American" region on the Euphrates which would continue to oppose the Syrian government.

According to the Defense Ministry, the United States provided cover for Islamic State militants to use them in attempts to attain its own aims in the Middle East. The plans were dispelled by the rapid advance of the Syrian army, Moscow said.

The tweet says that "the ministry of defence shows irrefutable evidence that U.S. are actually covering ISIS combat units to recover their combat capabilities, redeploy, and use them to promote American Interests in the Middle East".
