Apple Music now offers artists detailed streaming and download info

The dashboard, called Apple Music for Artists, is now available only for select beta users ahead of a broader launch planned for later this spring.

The Apple Music for Artists is now in beta and is being tested out with a few thousand artists.

Last April, it launched its own artist dashboard out of beta, allowing artists to dive into streaming insights and analytics, manage their profile and more.

"Apple Music for Artists" is all about building your business, more efficiently and with less overhead. That same month, it also announced the launch of its emerging artist program called RISE.

Dallas County Republican Party Sue to Bounce 128 Democrats Off the Ballot
Antipathy for Trump is concentrated among both women and independents, helping to explain Democrats' strong standing. Last fall, when ABC and the Washington Post polled the same question, the gap stood at 15 points.

Canadian R&B singer Daniel Caesar, who was consulted during the building phase, told Billboard that Apple's new tools could empower smaller acts to "level the playing field" on a budget. It's unclear at this point how Apple plans to release its original content, but it seems highly unlikely it will come "bundled with iOS". Billboard says the dashboard will show users the current number of plays, spins, song purchases and album purchases, while a special insights panel will provide information on key milestones, like cumulative plays and purchases for individual tracks. Artist manager John Silva added, "This wealth of data will improve our efficiency in serving our artists and their fans, both on the market-by-market level of previous eras and the new global context opened up by Apple dashboard".

Geotargeted data from all 115 countries that Apple Music and iTunes operate in is also available.

Yet another impressive aspect of the Apple Music for Artists is the demographic analytics. On the commercial-free tech side, Amazon Studios is "likely to bring in a strong new leader given their large content budgets, and Apple is growing its programming, which we presume will either be bundled with Apple Music or with iOS".
