Canadiens' Phillip Danault taken off Bell Centre ice on stretcher

Three things we learned against Boston

A scary scene unfolded in Montreal on Saturday night when Canadiens forward Phillip Danault took a slap shot to the head from the stick of Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara.

The Canadiens issued a statement during the third period that said: "Danault suffered a head injury".

Danault was moving and speaking to medical staff before he left the ice, to an ovation from the Bell Centre crowd. According to the broadcast Chara's shot was clocked at 123 km/h (76 mph), which is fortunate considering how hard the Bruins captain can fire the puck.

Atlanta Falcons vs Philadelphia Eagles: Behind enemy lines
The defensive line is an elite unit that has been great against the run at home this season, allowing just 3.3 yards per carry. Perhaps that was because the Eagles , despite a 13-3 regular season record, limped into the playoffs with Foles under center.

The 24-year-old Victoriaville, Que., native, a first round draft pick by Chicago in 2011, is in his third full National Hockey League season. Danault centered Montreal's top line, with Pacorietty on the left wing and Artturi Lehkonen on the right.

The 24-year-old had an assist on a first-period goal by Max Pacioretty and has 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) in 43 games this season.
