Class Action: Did Ford Also Tamper with Emissions Tests?

Dieselgate Hits Ford Lawsuit Says Super Duty Trucks

In the tests Ford carried out on the F-250 and F-350 vehicles, "emissions are consistently as high as five times the standard", the lawsuit stated, quipping that the trucks must bear the moniker "Super Dirty".

Ford Motor Co. installed software that enabled its F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks to cheat at passing federal emissions tests, according to a lawsuit by truck owners filed on Wednesday, a claim the No. 2 USA automaker described as "baseless".

A new class-action lawsuit accuses Ford Motor Co. of knowingly installing emissions-cheating software devices in model-years 2011-2017 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty diesel pickup trucks, akin to the devices at the center of Volkswagen's Dieselgate scandal, according to law firm Hagens Berman.

Palace delays naming gov't official to be fired
Roque said the President is reviewing the charter of the concerned agency. PCUP officials and Santiago have since denied allegations. But I guess even that is held in abeyance", he said.

Bosch is also accused of developing software that enabled Ford to adjust fuel levels, exhaust gas re-circulation, air pressure and urea injection rates while being tested for emissions by regulators including the Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board. Bloomberg News reports that the suit includes 58 alleged violations of state consumer law, racketeering, and false advertising. In a statement to the Detroit Free Press, Ford spokesman Mike Levine said that Ford vehicles, "including those with diesel emissions, comply with all USA and EPA and (California Air Resources Board) emissions regulations".

A Ford spokesperson insists that the vehicles don't feature defeat devices - or software that disables an emissions control system outside of a test environment.

An EPA spokeswoman did not immediately comment on the lawsuit against Ford. "We will safeguard ourselves against these baseless claims". Bosch is cooperating with the continuing investigations in various jurisdictions, and is defending its interests in the litigation.
