Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp blocks Sunderland swoop for teen sensation Ben Woodburn

Liverpool will reportedly allow youngster Ben Woodburn to join Sunderland on loan.

Manager Chris Coleman had been hoping to sign the attacking midfielder, who he has worked with before at worldwide level with Wales.

The Reds have already lost Philippe Coutinho in a mega deal to Barcelona as well as Marko Grujic to Cardiff on loan on Wednesday.

According to a report in TeamTalk, Sunderland are set to miss out on Liverpool forward Ben Woodburn, and that will be a bitter pill for Chris Coleman to swallow.

Stock Grabbing Investor's Attention: Aveo Pharmaceuticals (AVEO)
Grimes Inc reported 0.01% of its portfolio in AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:AVEO) on Tuesday, January 16 with "Buy" rating. Fore Research & Management LP acquired a new position in AVEO Pharmaceuticals in the 2nd quarter valued at $111,000.

However, Jurgen Klopp has decided against letting the 18-year-old leave Anfield, as he wants to keep the youngster around.

An early move for Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita was suggested, though the Bundesliga side came out publicly to quell rumours and reaffirm that the Guinean would only be joining the Reds in the summer, as stipulated in the original agreement.

It was Coleman who handed Woodburn his worldwide debut for Wales in September and the youngster repaid the faith shown in him by scoring a spectacular goal against Austria during that game.
