Rep. Al Green discuses second attempt to have Congress impeach Trump

Rep. Al Green of Texas promised to bring his articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump for a vote on the House floor next week.

However Trump has denied using such a phrase and instead claimed the language used was "tough".

Green recounted his experiences during the civil rights movement, saying he knows what bigotry and racism looks like. He said he will not lobby for votes, and that every representative will have to vote their conscience. Green said in a release.

Democratic billionaire donor Tom Steyer launched a national campaign aimed at building support for Trump's impeachment a year ago, spending millions of dollars in an effort that included billboards in Times Square and television commercials. House lawmakers effectively killed Green's effort, voting 364-58 to sideline the measure.
