Police and State Disaster Relief Force personnel are on the site rescuing those trapped.

"Three people have died and another person is critically injured".

In a frightening incident surfaced from Karnataka, an under-construction building has been collapsed on Kasuvanahalli's Sarjapur road in the evening today 15 February.

At least two construction workers was killed and seven others were rescued when the bottom portion of a five-story building collapsed in the city on Thursday. "Six people who were rescued have been admitted to a private hospital nearby", DCP Abdul Ahad told TNM. The report further said that the building had been under construction for six years, however, the work was halted for the last two years for unknown reasons.

Raj said the building collapsed because of weak foundation and action will be taken against the owner and the contractor. More persons suspected to be trapped. "Rescue operations are underway".

Reports said the building belonged to a Kerala-based person named Ahmed.

"We are gathering more information.It was developed to accommodate paying guests but later the owner tried to convert it into a commercial building", he said.
