Chris Rock Netflix Special to Drop on Valentine's Day

Chris Rock Tamborine Netflix

On February 3, to the confusion of just about everyone, it released a psuedo-teaser for Tamborine with no connection to Rock.

Directed by fellow comedian Bo Burnham and filmed at New York's Brooklyn Academy of Music, the comedy special has turned out to be the reveal behind Netflix's mysterious tamborine-themed advertising campaign, which included a teaser video and billboards in Los Angeles and NY.

Trump Should Treat Women 'With More Respect', Say Bill and Melinda Gates
Melinda also adds that they work with thousands of partners who keep them "connected to the people we're trying to help". Answering the question, Melinda Gates laid the answer out simply: "because they can do things no one else can".

Tamborine, with an appropriately jingly teaser, this marks Rock's first special since Kill the Messenger in 2008 on HBO. It's the first of two specials he has lined up with the streaming service. Only when his new stuff is at its sharpest does Rock commit it to tape.

His television work includes serving as executive producer, writer and narrator for the series "Everybody Hates Chris", which ran from 2005 to 2009, and as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" from 1989-1993. Tamborine is directed by fellow comedian Bo Burnham, who specializes in musical comedy, and it was filmed at New York City's Brooklyn Academy of Music, so perhaps we'll see Rock in a more performative mood.
