Johnny Manziel announces he will showcase talents in Spring League

Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel speaks with media members following the team's 30-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in an NFL football game in Seattle. New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton

The Texas natives are friends, Manziel said on the podcast, and they both rose as premier talents during their respective college football careers.

This actually makes me think that an National Football League team might pull the trigger to carry the weight of the #ComebackSZN PR move. This is the first step for Manziel to start building up his reputation once again.

"Me and Baker, I feel like have a really cool friendship, and I feel like he's handling [the comparisons] the exact right way", Manziel said, via the Akron Beacon Journal. So prolific was Manziel at being in the news, I named him the King of Content for two years in a row! I would love to watch Manziel play again, even in a lower level professional league.

Manziel was a revolutionary player on the collegiate scene, becoming the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy award. Coming from someone who's seen firsthand the way addiction can tear families apart, I can tell you unequivocally it'll take a lot more from Manziel than merely a successful two-week stint in some developmental league to prove he is a changed person. He played two seasons in the National Football League but off the field incidents derailed the career and he was released.

During his absence from the NFL, Manziel was suspended for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. That's what I thought was making me happy and getting [me] out of that depression to a point where I had some sense of happiness.

As far as his comeback goes, Manziel "100%" hopes to get back to the National Football League, but he admits, "I am coming back from a huge downfall".

The former Texas A&M standout also said he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Recently, Manziel and the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats engaged in contract negotiations.

"I am taking medication for bipolar, and I am working to try to make sure I don't fall back into any type of depression, because I know where that leads me and I know how slippery a slope that is for me".

"At the end of the day, I can't help that my wires are a little bit differently crossed than yours". "He's like, 'Listen, ' and I'll say the same thing: We're completely different people".
