Apple Maps now includes bike sharing data for more than 175 cities

Life just got easier for commuters and adventurers who like having bikes available without needing to own one.

Through a partnership with Ito World, Apple Maps now supports bike-sharing data in more than 175 cities in 36 countries, including San Francisco, New York, and London, according to TechCrunch.

The list of supported bike services in each city isn't comprehensive, but Apple may add more in the future.

Reviewing the Insider Trends for Activision Blizzard, Inc. (ATVI)
Ltd. now owns 4,640 shares of the company's stock worth $299,000 after buying an additional 800 shares during the last quarter. MCHP's profit will be $297.61 million for 19.67 P/E if the $1.27 EPS becomes a reality. 2,306 were reported by Ameritas Prns.

As TechCrunch notes Apple Maps doesn't show bike availability or empty spots for now, but hopefully that will come soon.

Apple Maps has been getting a few more features to keep up with the likes of Google Maps. Or, if you know the name of the place, just type that in instead.

It won't replace more sophisticated bike sharing apps for you. Users will still want to continue using dedicated apps for various bike sharing devices, but this is a nice update for Apple Maps nonetheless. How about a Citi Bike in NY? Let's be honest, bike sharing isn't equivalent to the Mario Kart skin Google rolled out to Google Maps for MAR10 Day, but it's a good start.
