Google is tweaking its search bar on its mobile site

The Android Wear devices and the operating system has not been getting a lot of love from the company but it seems that Android Wear is going to get a new face and branding as there are hints that Google will be rebranding the OS. Fashion brands continue to release new hardware running the OS, but it's been a hot minute since a major tech company has put any real time or effort into releasing new products with it.

Reddit user H3x0n claimed that during the setup of an Android Wear smartwatch a new icon was displayed alongside the unfamiliar moniker instead of Android Wear. It can be used to help set up other Android devices near the phone, and it clearly shows "Wear OS" and a new logo with echoes of the Google Assistant design. That's obviously not to be confused with watchOS which is Apple's iteration of its mobile platform for its smartwatch. There are entirely too many ways that Google Lens now available on the mass-based Android can be misused, and it is the company's responsibility to ensure they start taking measures to avoid that from happening.

Android Wear is in a peculiar position.

Anything you're hoping to see in Wear OS?

With Google Lens Android users can now create contacts by just scanning a business card, get a location by identifying a landmark or even search up a particular thing like an actor or something by just scanning their image. Its contactless payment service has been rebranded as Google Pay, rather than Android Pay.
