Google Station's high-speed Wi-Fi hotspots expand to Mexico starting today

Back in 2015, we first learned of Google's plans to bring free public Wi-Fi to hundreds of railway stations in India; in the months that followed this effort picked up the official name "Google Station".

Google's initial batch of Wi-Fi zones is scattered across the country, from the Ciudad Juarez airport at the USA border to posh shopping centers in Mexico City.

Google Station access is completely free but carries advertising. You all may know that Google already put more than 8 million people online by putting some Wi-Fi networks in India mostly in railway stations.

Kenya: Prisons Beat Rwanda Revenue, Progress to Semis
There's a likelihood of the two Kenyan teams to meet in the final if they negotiate wins in the semis. They bounced back to win the third set 25-14, before losing the third set 25-23.

For this first rollout of Station in Mexico, Google is partnering with ISP Sitwifi to convert existing hotspots. Locations include high-traffic points such as airports, shopping malls, and public transit stations, and Google by the end of the year Google aims to extend the network to over 100 locations. To see exactly where in Mexico they're located, head here. However, the report added that the country's internet reach still lags behind other OECD nations. But even as data plans are more affordable than ever, people are always looking for ways to enjoy the web without using up their data.

"Google's mission is to make information accessible throughout the world; a good internet connection can give people access to a better education, better jobs, create more businesses and have better communication with their families", said Anjali Joshi, vice-president of product management. Beyond that, though, there's no word on what country Google Station might expand to next.
