Sergio Garcia celebrates his Masters victory a year ago.

The Spanish star's wife, Angela gave birth to Azalea Adele Garcia yesterday, and he immediately posted a picture of his first child on Twitter.

The 38-year-old looked destined to endure another near-miss in a major championship nearly a year ago as he trailed Justin Rose by three shots with just six holes to play in the final round.

Garcia and Akins got married last July, having got engaged in January 2017.

Today, the couple has welcomed their first child, a little girl - and her name could not be more flawless given where her dad enjoyed his finest hour as a professional golfer.

"Beautiful Azalea Adele Garcia was born on March 14 at 1:54am".

"It's kind of very, very exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time", he said.
