Miami Dolphins will cut Ndamukong Suh
Miami already has offloaded running back Jay Ajayi last season, and last week sent wide receiver Jarvis Landry to the Browns.
Suh will reportedly be released by the team, ESPN and CBS4 News partner the Miami Herald reported Monday. However, the Dolphins would not be able to use that money for three months.
The Suh decision comes roughly three years after they signed the defensive tackle to an enormous six-year, $114 million contract.
The main reason the Dolphins are releasing Suh is it will save them close to $36 million in cap space over the next two seasons.
Planet Alpha is an Upcoming Sci-Fi Platformer From Former IO Dev
Team17 have partnered with Danish indie developer Adrian Lazar to bring atmospheric side-scroller Planet Alpha to PC this year. Team17 CEO Debbie Bestwick adds: "At their best video games can take us to different worlds on incredible journeys".
Seattle will still have promising young defensive tackles Jarran Reed and Naz Jones on the roster heading into 2018, but if unable to strike a long-term deal with Sheldon Richardson, Suh could be an appealing alternative.
Moreover, Darlington reports that the impending release of Suh is the next step in coach Adam Gase's attempt to rebuild the culture in his locker room. But after agreeing to acquire Robert Quinn and his $11.4 million cap hit via a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, the Dolphins' have an untenable chunk of their salary cap - almost $52 million (!) - along their defensive line. The Dolphins made the playoffs as a wild-card team in 2016, but are coming off a disappointing 6-10 season.
Suh, who has earned a reputation as one of the league's dirtiest players, turned 31 years old in January and has seen his sack production dip four consecutive seasons. So that video could have been a hint that he was no longer going to be with the Dolphins organization.
