Raonic ousted by del Potro in Indian Wells semifinal

Borna Coric has upset world No.9 Kevin Anderson in his biggest win to reach the Indian Wells semis

Del Potro is playing great tennis so far this season and just dominated a really good player in the semifinals.

Roger Federer is coming off a three sets win over Borna Coric that took 32 games to decide.

Juan Martin del Potro advanced to his third Indian Wells semi-final after a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Philipp Kohlschreiber.

Raonic chose to serve and volley on break point two games later, a tactic that did not pay off as he found the net and handed Del Potro a 4-1 lead.

After a slow start to his season following a calf injury past year, Raonic prevailed by serve-volleying and attacking the net against Querrey, who was playing in his first Masters 1000 quarter-final. Raonic made the final at the BNP Paribas Open in 2016 before losing to Novak Djokovic.

"It's an honor for me to play a final against him".

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) - Wrist, hip, foot and leg injuries.

Del Potro is looking for his 22nd career and second straight ATP title in a row after winning earlier this month in Acapulco where he beat three top eight players in a row. I admire him a lot.

The former Wimbledon finalist talked about all of his injuries over the past year: "Right adductor, left glut at the beginning of the year". Williams returned to the top 10 previous year after being runner-up at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

"But thank God I'm here and healthy", he said. I play more aggressive with my two-handed backhands, and I play more down the line. "I have too much love from the crowd, for my fans, and I'm doing this because I love it". He won the Australian Open to achieve his 20th grand slam title in January, and then claimed the Rotterdam title in February, going back to world No 1 in the process.

"I should have lost a match", he said. A cross-court forehand victor was followed by a backhand down the line to set up two break points and, feeling the pressure, Raonic double-faulted.

Here is a rundown on what to watch for when the two men take to the court in a match that is due to start around 1am UAE time on Monday morning.
