Shujaa to face England in Vancouver Sevens quarters

Ouma strikes late to help Kenya 7s beat France 7s in Canada

After a disappointing loss to the US on day one of the tournament Saturday, Canada finished third in pool A with a record of 1-1-1, and did not qualify for the Cup final portion of the tourney. You saw the same players live to a different level yesterday.

New Zealand lost to the United States 17-0 in the quarter-finals and then lost to England 21-17 in the play-off for fifth.

In its other games Saturday, a late mistake resulted in Canada suffering a 28-21 loss to the U.S. Earlier the Canadians scored a try in the final seconds of the game for a 19-19 draw with Australia. Canada's Nathan Hirayama did however secure his own milestone as he passed sevens' great Waisale Serevi on the all-time points table with a total of 1328.

South Africa retains the lead in the World Series after six of 10 rounds.

Wales lead Italy 17-7 in Six Nations at half
North powered over for his second try of the game 14 minutes from time to secure the bonus point. Liam Williams' yellow card right at the end of the first half certainly divided opinion.

Shujaa beat France 14-7, thanks to a last minute try by Oscar Ouma before whipping Spain 43-0 in their second group match to book their place in the quarters. Kenya were first to put points on the board with a try from Collins Injera, Fiji followed with two tries from Kalione Nasako and Eroni Sau, but also saw Waisea Nacuqu sin binned before the break. Fiji answered with two more tries, this time from Amenoni Nasilasila and Mesulame Kunavula.

Although only the top two qualifiers from each pool qualified for Sunday's quarter-finals, loyal Canadian fans did what they do best, and showed up in colour and forgiving spirit to see their team play in Sunday's Challenge Trophy games.

Kenya will attempt to reach the semi finals of the Main Cup for the first time this season in the HSBC Sevens World Series when they take on England tonight at the Vancouver Sevens. New Zealand went on to make it three from three with wins over Russian Federation 31-5, and the Blitzbok 33-14. New Zealand Captain Scott Curry spoke to us about his sides clean sweep on day one in Canada.
