Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth to Co-Star in 'Men In Black' Reboot

Thompson will join her Ragnarok co-star Chris Hemsworth in the film, though the Hollywood trade says that the film will be an "ensemble piece" that is "more global in scale". Iron Man writers Matt Holloway and Art Marcum are writing the script. It's set for release on June 14, 2019.

Yes, Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth are getting the Ragnarok band back together, and we couldn't be more excited about it.

Thompson can be seen in the current sci-fi movie Annihilation and is now filming Creed 2, which stars Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan.

We've known that there was a Men in Black spinoff trilogy in the works since 2015, and have also known for about that long that the new trilogy would feature a prominent "woman in black".

Chris Hemsworth's contract to play Thor finished with the fourth Avengers movie, though he hasn't completely ruled out the possibility of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his supposed return to the Star Trek franchise as Captain Kirk's father George Kirk is in doubt.

Cue the catchy theme song: Asgard's finest are reportedly teaming up for a Men in Black spin-off, and there's not a Neuralyzer in the world that will keep me from seeing and remembering this movie. This new iteration will be a reboot of the original Men in Black (1997) which starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as lead agents of the M.I.B. agency, which oversaw crimes and intergalactic travel involving aliens.

Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing, and Steven Spielberg is serving as executive producer. The first film was huge hit and produced two more sequels.
