Social media users praised the woman for her apparent "beauty" and "easiness" during the baby's water birth. According to the Daily Mail on Tuesday, the woman and the newborn appeared to be "happy and healthy" after the water birth.

Hotel owner Hadia Hosny El Said captured the moment a baby was carried from the water before the mother emerged from the water looking as if she had just been for a swim.

The pictures shared on Facebook on Saturday went viral.

Egyptian news outlets say that many expecting moms have gone to Dahab to give birth to their babies in the Red Sea recently, though the reason why is unclear. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that the "older man may be a doctor", according to the Express.
