The group, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary, last released a studio album in 2013 with World Like This. "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", McLean tweeted on Thursday.

About the song, the boyband's Kevin Richardson says: "The minute we heard this song we knew it was special".

The Backstreet Boys are not only back with their new single "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", but have also graced the world with a new music video.

It's the first new music from the group since they teamed up with Florida Georgia Line for their single God, Your Mama and Me, which was released as a single in 2017.

These guys are readying another leg of their Las Vegas Residency soon - let's hope it sparks off the momentum for a full album (and a world tour).
