BT Sport live streams for UEFA finals

Mohamed Salah Liverpool Brighton Premier League

Previously, RTÉ had the Irish rights for Wednesday night Champions League matches and the final. The Reds' barnstorming run to the final driven in the main by Mohammed Salah has given BT a much-needed boost to ratings for its European coverage.

The final UEFA Champions League match between English football club Liverpool and Spain's Real Madrid is to be shown free by United Kingdom broadband ISP BT via YouTube, the BTSport TV app and other mediums.

It's the third year in a row BT Sport has shown the final free online.

For subscribers, the game is being screened on BT Sport 2, BT Sport 2 HD and in 4K on the BT Sport UHD channel.

Can Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool defy the odds and prevent the rampant Real Madrid from winning an unprecedented third consecutive Champions League title?

Wagner wins GOP gubernatorial nod; Barletta to take on Casey

BT's Consumer MD of Marketing, Pete Oliver, said: "To have Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League final is fantastic".

The way in which Champions League and Europa League football is broadcast in Ireland could be set for a big change after Virgin Media and TV3 announced that they have secured the rights to over 300 games for the next three seasons, but did not reveal how they would broadcast them. "The final is set to be a classic and we can't wait to bring it to football fans across the United Kingdom". The final, as with all Champions League and Europa League games, will not be broadcast on any free-to-air television in the UK.
