Class-Action Suit Filed against Apple for MacBook Butterfly Keyboards

Apple Macbook Pro Keyboard Defect Lawsuit Investigation - Girard Gibbs

While Apple does provide a one-year warranty on the laptops, along with a support page that details how to properly clean the keyboard, the company has done little to take steps in mitigating the situation or preventing the keyboard from failing at all.

Over the years, several problems have emerged with the butterfly keyboard.

Apple has yet to officially comment on the growing criticism surrounding the MacBook Pro so it will be interesting to see what the company has to say when responding to the aforementioned class-action suit.

Girard Gibbs also does not clearly state you have to have experienced keyboard issues to join the lawsuit.

The lawsuit, filed in Northern California district court, alleges that the low-profile, butterfly-switch keyboards in 2015-and-later MacBook and 2016-and-later MacBook Pro models are "prone to fail", resulting in "non-responsive keys" and other issues, according to court documents obtained by MacRumors.

Shenmue 3 Gets Delayed to 2019
We promise to use this time to improve the quality of Shenmue III .We can not thank you enough for your enduring support. A teaser trailer released back in 2017 was criticized for the bizarrely blank facial expressions of its characters.

The plaintiffs in the case are seeking damages and legal fees, along with demanding that Apple publicly acknowledge the widespread failure of their butterfly keyboards.

Beginning with its 2016 and 2017 flagship Macbook Pro laptops, Apple debuted a new "butterfly" keyswitch design in its now-thinner laptops.

We ran a similar poll previous year, with 43 percent of users saying they liked the new keyboard and 35 percent saying they had reliability issues.

Do you have problems with your MacBook or MacBook Pro keyboard? Although that means you will be missing out on the new display tech, the standard display is still pretty impressive.
