Sam Allardyce has been sacked by Everton hours after he slammed Everton over backroom restructure.

Everton have dismissed Sam Allardyce as manager - with the hunt to find his replacement already well underway, the club have confirmed.

Allardyce was appointed last November after the club sacked Ronald Koeman but now he is heading to the exit door in the wake of their Premier League season concluding last Sunday with a 3-1 defeat against West Ham.

"Sam was brought in at a challenging time last season to provide us with some stability and we are grateful to him for doing that", said Denise Barrett-Baxendale, Everton's newly hired chief executive.

'I'm shocked, disappointed and disgusted that the football club didn't have the decency to tell me, my Director of Football and my staff about the changes, ' he told Metro.

Metro Exodus is No Longer a 2018 Game, Delayed Into Next Year
Metro Exodus has been delayed into 2019, while the release dates for both Biomutant and Darksiders 3 have yet to be determined. Metro Exodus , which first appeared on stage back at E3 2017, was due out some time in autumn of 2018.

Allardyce lifted Everton from position 13 to 8 after signing Theo Walcott, Cenk Tosun Wayne Rooney in January.

As part of the questionnaire, supporters were asked whether they agree with the statement of "I have a high level of trust in the current manager and coaching staff at Everton e.g.in making the right decisions to get the best out of the team".

"Meanwhile, West Ham are third in the odd-stakes at 6/1 to welcome the former Hull boss at the London Stadium next season as a successor for David Moyes, who is now out of contract with the Hammers". "Again, we'd like to place on record our honest thanks to Sam for his work with us over the last few months and wish him well for the future".

Watford are still seeking compensation from Everton over their failed pursuit for Marco Silva - the favourite to replace Sam Allardyce as manager.
