Golden Knights, Jets the big playoff TV draws in Canada

Jonathan Marchessault will continue driving Lamborghini to games in playoffs

Marchessault scored his seventh goal of the playoffs just 35 seconds into the game as he took a pass from Brayden McNabb and went forehand-backhand to slip the puck past Hellebuyck, giving the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead. Needless to say, it's now officially a thing.

The Golden Knights eliminating the San Jose Sharks in six games drew 11.4 million watchers in Canada. He scored two goals in Wednesday's 4-2 victory.

The Jets on paper seem to have the advantage in this game.

NOTES: Teams that take a 2-1 lead in the conference final (or National Hockey League semifinals) have won the series 35 of 43 times (81.4 percent) since 1975.

The Jets, the NHL's biggest team, attempted to impose their will physically in Game 3 but came up short in a 4-2 loss at T-Mobile Arena.

Ehlers, who had 29 goals, has yet to notch one in 13 games and was a mysterious scratch on Wednesday night.

Scheifele, the Jets' first No. 1 draft pick since relocating in 2011, wasn't pointing fingers, choosing instead to praise the Golden Knights. While ticket prices for Friday's Game 4 spiked as high as $5,000 on Monday, they ranged between $259 and $2,500 as the puck dropped for Game 3.

'Active shooter' scare at The Boulevard Mall in Las Vegas
Metro Police Deputy Chief Chris Jones says no shots were fired at the Boulevard Mall and no injuries have been reported . A police spokesperson says no one has been injured and it's unclear if any shots were fired.

"I did that?" Fleury said at his locker afterward.

"Vegas is getting more comfortable". They don't make too many like him. "You can definitely see the momentum changing in this series".

The team also made sure the Haugans arrived in style, hooking them up with jerseys ahead of the game.

When Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury wasn't amusing himself - and TV viewers - by tickling Blake Wheeler's ear during a scrum in front of the net, he put on a show between the pipes, robbing Mark Scheifele twice during one sequence midway through the third period to preserve the lead.

And the team that takes a 3-1 lead has gone on to win more than 90 percent of the time.

"Vegas just keeps on grinding, stays disciplined and keeps playing their system with a bunch of guys that really have something to prove", Lane said.
