Instagram officially launches re-sharing of posts to Stories

Posts share to stories as a sticker that users can rearrange, resize, and place on customizable backgrounds before posting.

When you come across something in feed that inspires you - like a post from a friend raising money for a cause or a photo of a new design from your favorite brand - you can now quickly share that post as a sticker to your story for your friends and followers to see. If your profile is public but you don't want people meddling with your pictures, you can restrict users from sharing your posts in their Story from your account's settings. The new re-sharing option now gives users a third way to get their friends' attention.

The option to "Create a story with this post" will appear within the Share menu above your favourite contacts.

When you find something on your Feed of static, non-ephemeral Instagram posts which strikes your fancy, you can add it to your Story. You can only re-share posts from a public Instagram account.

To do this, tap the paper airplane icon like you were sending a message and hit the "create a story" option at the top.

Legislature interviews Underwood, others as potential AG successor
Schneiderman denies the allegations. "I know Barbara, I have worked with her and have great respect for her", Lavine said. Panel members said they approved of the fact that she doesn't plan to run for a four-year term.

You can also rotate, scale or move the sticker around, and tap on it to explore other styles.

When posted, the Story will display the original poster's username, which others can tap on to head back to the original post. Anyone who doesn't want their posts to be available for Story use may opt out.

As Twitter users Jane Manchun Wong spotted, Instagram is also testing a floating Story Tray that will minimize when you scroll.

For privacy, there is a limit on the new feature.
