Jets WR Robby Anderson's felony resisting arrest charge dropped

NY Jets' Robby Anderson Wins Cop Fighting Case ... Charges Dropped

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Florida prosecutors have chose to drop the Jets wideout's felony resisting arrest with violence charge from past year.

Last month, a different felony charge - from his January arrest - was dropped and reduced to a misdemeanor reckless driving charge. Anderson still has the issue from this year to deal with, so he's not off the hook yet.

Even though Anderson now faces only that relatively minor legal charge, he could still be suspended by the NFL. By the looks of it, it was the right decision for the organization since now that this is past him, the focus can now shift to preparing for the upcoming season.

Browns to be featured on HBO's 'Hard Knocks'
The Browns have two first round draft picks, in the form of Heisman victor Baker Mayfield and Northeast Ohio native Denzel Ward. Last year, the show centered around the Tampa Bay Buccaneers , including former OU defensive lineman Gerald McCoy .

In the grand scheme of things, these two arrests and all the bad publicity to him and the Jets were all likely a huge wakeup call to Anderson.

In spite of Anderson's off the field drama, he has been taking part in the Jets offseason voluntary workouts. He was on track for a 1,000-yard campaign a year ago before starting quarterback Josh McCown suffered a broken hand Week 14, leaving the underwhelming Bryce Petty under center for the final three weeks of the season. But with that charge dropped, Anderson now faces no charges in connection with the incident.
