OnePlus 6 Durability Test Will Leave Fans Pleased

OnePlus 6 passes scratch, burn, and bend testing

OnePlus globally unveiled its flagship - OnePlus 6 (first impressions) last night at an event in London. And we are certainly glad to share that OnePlus 6 passes the extensive scratch, burn, and bend test with flying colours. This happens to be the same score as the one that the OnePlus 5T achieved. Notably, the OnePlus 6 is the first flagship smartphone from the brand to come with an all-glass make.

OnePlus who also threw in splash resistance this time around, did not have an IP rating to show for it, but the company claims that the phone can withstand splashes and the accidental fall into the sink easily, but cannot withstand a dip into the pool. Scratches on the OnePlus smartphone surface at the sixth level of the scale, while some deeper signs appear at the seventh level.

The sides of the OnePlus 6 are covered with the metal frame that seems to have a paint on top that can receive scratches. The rear glass panel also survived an extensive slaughter by a razor blade without it leaving a nick. The OnePlus 6's AMOLED panel survives about 20 seconds of the flame before being permanently marred, which isn't unexpected.

The YouTuber found some flex, though the build didn't result in any cracks or kinks even with an impressive amount of force being pushed to bend the handset. Nelson believes this is partly due to the plastic lining between the glass and the metal frame.
