Pauley Perrette responds to CBS statement on "multiple physical assaults" tweets

Shivers claimed his actress ex broke into his home by climbing through his bedroom window to assault a female friend and sent him handwritten death threats. She

Shivers even claimed that Perette threatened to publicly label him a "stalker", although according to him it was the actress who allegedly crawled through his bedroom window one night and attacked his female friend.

However, in 2008 the State of California named Shivers a vexatious litigant, a term given to those who abuse the legal system with a series of meritless lawsuits created to subdue or silence their target - which in Shivers' case is Perrette. Shivers' recent suit went through by mistake, and is now being stayed by the court until a judge can further review it. Abby was a fan favorite throughout Perrette's 15 seasons on the hit show.

In the past, similar suits made by Shivers have been rejected by the court due to his standing as a vexatious litigant.

The actress played Abby Sciuto on the American police drama from 2003, and made her last appearance in a two-part send off on 8 May.

Shivers claims in the suit that he didn't give in to her threats and filed for divorce, prompting the former NCIS star to continue to stalk and defame him.

Perrette's publicist, Stephen Jaffe, told Global News Monday that at this time, neither he nor his client have any further comment in regards to the tweets. "Tell someone", she wrote.

It's again worth noting that these accusations have not been officially filed by the state of California in a lawsuit. Multiple physical assaults. I REALLY get it now.

Pauley Perrette Responds To CBS Statement Regarding Tweets About “Multiple Physical Assaults” On Set – Update

However, there's no evidence to suggest the two things are related at this time.

Perrette previously dispelled rumors that the minds behind NCIS or the executives at CBS were mad at her and wanted her gone, or that she was leaving to pursue her own line of skincare products (yes, people genuinely believed that freakish rumor), and explained that she just felt her time on the show should come to a close.

In 2005 it was actually Perrette who was granted a restraining order against Shivers, after she accused him of putting her through physical, emotional and sexual abuse during and after their marriage.

Unlike his ex-wife, Shivers, an actor and musician, has few recognizable TV and film credits to his name.

Since that time, Perrette has been an outspoken advocate of stalking law reform in the United States.

Pauley Perrette, who played the forensic scientist Abby Sciuto in the show for fifteen seasons before her final episode was aired in the U.S. last week, has alleged that she left the show due to physical abuse.

"Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern", said the statement.
