Research says Multiverse may not be a non-supporter of life
According to an article posted on livescience.com, an global tea of researchers find out that Alien may exist in the parallel universe. And the new research suggests that the answer lies in dark energy, the mysterious "force" that is accelerating the expansion of our Universe.
It challenges the belief that our universe has been lucky to have only a small amount of dark energy that enabled it to host life, among many universes that could not.
Even when the simulated universe contained hundreds of times more or less dark energy than there is in our universe, planets and stars still formed and life evolved.
However, the new study suggests that variations in the amount of dark energy only has a modest impact on star and planet formation, meaning that the conditions for support life are not as narrow as previously thought.
To reach this conclusion, the team used a huge computer simulation and finally showed that if there were other universes, they would probably have the same life.
"For many physicists, the unexplained but seemingly special amount of dark energy in our Universe is a frustrating puzzle", said co-lead author Jaime Salcido, a postgraduate student at Durham University.
Professor Richard Bauer of the Institute of Computational Cosmology at Durham University stated: "The formation of stars in the universe is a battle between the attraction of gravity and the exclusion of dark energy". It's more special than it needs to be for life.
White House dumps 'cyber czar' advisory position
Representative Jim Langevin (D-RI), said: "It is an enormous step backwards to deemphasize this growing challenge". Mark Warner (D-VA), the top Democrat on the Senate Intel Committee, also blasted the idea on Tuesday.
"Our simulations showed that the accelerated expansion driven by dark energy has hardly any impact on the birth of stars, and hence places for life to arise".
"Even increasing dark energy many hundreds of times might not be enough to make a dead universe", added Pascal Elahi from University of Western Australia.
"We found in the simulation that the universe, which is much darker than our energy, can happily form stars".
The findings will be published across two papers in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. So why such a paltry quantity of dark energy in our universe?
Researcher Richard Bower of the Durham University said that according to him, a "new law of physics" should be looked for in order to completely explain the mysterious "property of our Universe", which can not be done appropriately by the theory of Multiverse. Salcido further said that the evolution of life forms depends on a few basic physical constants like "the quantity of dark energy and the strength of gravity".
"I think we should be looking for a new law of physics to explain this odd property of our Universe, and the Multiverse theory does little to rescue physicists' discomfort". Yes, you heard "other universes".
The research depicted that if humans would be live in a Multiverse then they should be observing near about fifty times higher dark energy that they are doing at the present.
