Boba Fett is getting his own spinoff.

No details as of yet have been released of the film, nor has Disney officially confirmed it.

THR noted that Mangold's colleague Simon Kinberg, who collaborated on last year's Logan, was linked to a project about the bounty hunter, though it was not immediately clear if they were one in the same.

A Boba Fett standalone movie is apparently in the works and - get, this - it's possibly being directed by James Mangold, who helmed Old Man Wolverine movie Logan a year ago.

A Boba Fett movie was originally meant to be announced alongside Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 2015. "Solo" began opening in previews on Thursday night in North America, with forecasts of an debut weekend of $130 million to $150 million.

Variety first reported in August that Disney and Lucasfilm were in development on a spinoff movie centering on Obi-Wan Kenobi, with Stephen Daldry in negotiations to direct.

Mangold worked on X-Men films such as 2017's Logan, which he wrote and directed.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will likely have the lowest three-day (Friday through Sunday) tally, which we're projecting at $110.5 million, since Disney purchased LucasFilm in 2012.

New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison voiced the character of Boba Fett in an official re-edit of the original Star Wars trilogy, and played Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.

Hollywood Reporter first broke the news.
