What We Know About The Alleged Texas High School Shooter

As mourning Texans gather for a vigil word spreads of who was killed in the school shooting

At least two persons have been shot near Mt. Zion High School in Clayton County in the state of Georgia, police said on Friday night. Thirteen people were confirmed to be injured during the shooting. The majority of the victims are students.

They went back into their classroom and told others to help barricade the door.

The wounded included a school police officer who was the first to confront the suspect and got shot in the arm.

The governor says the suspect, identified by a law enforcement official to be 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis, said he originally meant to commit suicide but gave himself up and told authorities that he didn't have the courage to take his own life.

Abdul Aziz Sheikh, the father of Sabika Sheikh, with his son Ali, mourn the loss of his daughter, May 19, 2018. Braun says the officer remains in critical condition.

Abbott said there are "one or two" other people of interest being interviewed about the shooting.

Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt has offered to pay for the funerals of the victims of Friday's shooting, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Authorities later found explosive devices - including pipe bombs and pressure cookers - in and near the school, a law enforcement official said.

Meghan Markle's father rejected surgery in Mexican hospital: Health Ministry
In London: Samantha Markle makes a remote appearance on ITV's show "Loose Women" to talk about her father's staged photos. It's suggested Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, who divorced Thomas when Meghan was a child, could take on the role.

In a statement released Saturday, the family said they were searching for answers as to why the teenager might have gone on the shooting rampage Friday in the small town of Santa Fe, southeast of Houston. He says he thought she would be safe in the U.S.

A motive wasn't immediately clear, but Gov. Greg Abbott said Dimitrios Pagourtzis, 17, wrote about planning the attack in journals on his computer and in his cellphone that police obtained.

Chris Stone was a junior at Santa Fe High School.

He said Pagourtzis didn't show signs of being bullied but also rarely talked about himself. The discovery process by prosecutors would take a long time, he said.

He says authorities recovered a couple of explosive devices at the school and "several" in Pagourtzis' vehicle and home, and that they've been sent for testing to the Federal Bureau of Investigation laboratory in Quantico, Virginia. Late Friday, he said he couldn't provide details about the injuries and or information on suspects.

The shooting was the deadliest school attack since 17 were killed in February at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Pagourtzis was held without bond in the Galveston County jail on the capital murder charges, said the county sheriff, Henry Trochesset.
