Dancing FBI agent who accidentally shot someone is arrested

FBI agent who accidentally shot bar patron after dropping his gun while dancing charged with assault

The FBI agent who accidentally shot a nightclub-goer when he did a backflip on a dance floor in Denver turned himself in Tuesday to face charges in connection with the incident, according to the district attorney's office and jail records. The charge is a fourth-degree felony. Bishop has been charged with assault and additional charges might be filed.

"We are filing this charge now rather than waiting until the BAC report is received, which we understand could take another week, because sufficient evidence has been presented to file it", she said. "If an additional charge needs to be filed after further evidence is received, we can file those charges then".

Video of the incident shows the gun falling from Bishop's waistband holder as he's dancing and doing a back-flip.

Bishop, 29, was off-duty and on vacation when the shooting happened.

Trump said he "absolutely" would be willing to invite Kim - whose regime has been criticised for widespread human rights abuses - to the White House.

Bishop was off-duty and was among revelers at the Mile High Spirits and Distillery nightclub in downtown Denver in the early morning hours of June 2, Denver police said in a statement.

"It is shocking that the only shooting to ever occur at our establishment came about as a result of an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent entering our distillery tasting room carrying a loaded firearm without our knowledge, in violation of our rules", the posting said.

"We sat down at one of those picnic tables - I heard a loud bang and I thought some idiot set off a firecracker", Reddington told ABC News. "Then I looked down at my leg and see some brown residue". All of a sudden from the knee down it became completely red. "And that's when it clicked in my head, 'Oh, I've been shot'".

He turned himself in on Tuesday morning after an arrest warrant was issued by Denver police, said Maro Casparian, a spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney's Office.
