Donald Trump says National Basketball Association champion won't be invited to White House

Trump: No White House invite for NBA champs, 'we'll see' about Caps

The statement said the players refused to go because of Trump's insistence they stand for the national anthem, but several Eagles players have said that was not the case.

Trump drew heavy criticism again this week for uninviting the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl win and instead threw a Celebration of America event where some white attendees kneeled and protested and even heckled him. "I don't like that". So, it's not surprising hearing the news today with the Eagles. The president congratulated the team on Twitter earlier Friday.

"If the athletes have friends of theirs or people they know about that have been unfairly treated by the system, let me know", he added.

"I agree with Bron", Curry said.

This is not Trump's "light bulb" moment. It won't be Golden State or Cleveland going [to the White House]. If you can't beat em', bribe em'. "Like guys said before me, I'm sure whoever wins this series won't be going".

Netflix Is Turning 'Stranger Things' Into A Book Series
Several books related to the series will be published next year, according to Deadline , with two arriving this fall and another two arriving next year.

No mention of law enforcement reform, providing more funds for social justice initiatives, or investments in community outreach services. Reportedly only a handful of players planned to go.

Whichever team wins the National Basketball Association championship, President Donald Trump says he won't be inviting them to the White House. Curry and the Cavaliers' top player, LeBron James, already have said they would not want to make the trip this year.

"I think the President has made it pretty clear he's going to try to divide us, all of us in this country, for political gain", said Golden State coach Steve Kerr, who has often criticized Trump and his policies. "There is a lot of things we believe in as Americans that we don't feel that he is for". When the New England Patriots went previous year, half the team chose not to attend. We'll see. You know, my attitude is if they want to be here, the greatest place on Earth, I'm here.

So I want to give him full credit when his team beats the Cleveland Cavaliers for another league championship. If you focus on who is saying the right things, you shouldn't get lost in the noise that's going on right now.
