Fortnite tips and tricks: a beginner's guide to win Battle Royale

Fortnite dev's Epic Games fix for the accidental swastika issue

The first whiff of the stink bomb came with the latest round of datamining, and was confirmed today when the item briefly appeared in the Fortnite in-game news feed. Teased through the "News" tab at the main menu, Epic Games has revealed that the Fortnite stink bomb is "coming soon". It looks to be a new type of grenade that "explodes into a cloud on impact and slowly damage anyone inside".

The groundbreaking and cultural barrier-shattering battle royale game has been providing regular updates to the game since its release with a large majority of them being well-received and the development team always quick to address concerns. But the fact that it deals damage, unlike the old smoke grenade, makes it much more useful in Battle Royale games. Now, the publisher and developer has made a decision to bring a new item into the title, by teasing the forthcoming inclusion of what are being called Stink Bombs. An Epic Games representative noticed one of the players' post about the symbol on Reddit and responded that the swastika would be removed from the game.

As is nearly always the case with new weapons labeled as "Coming Soon", the Fortnite stink bomb release date is expected to be this week.

The Fortnite stink bomb is basically an anti-camping weapon, as it punishes those that remain in the same spot.

Just how lethal it will be is unclear, but given Epic's usual time table for adding items listed in the New Updates area, you can expect to begin playing with this on Tuesday.
