Man steals $43,000 Banksy artwork from gallery

Banksy print stolen from Toronto exhibit, police say

Trolley Hunters depicts three crouching hunters, one aiming a spear at a grouping of shopping carts.

The disappearance of Trolley Hunters was discovered after police responded to a call over an alleged break-in at the exhibit site in the city's west end on Sunday. Its value is estimated at $45,000 CAD ($34,000 US), Sidhu said. "The incident was reported to the police who are now investigating the disappearance", confirmed Corey Ross, president of Starvox Exhibits, in a statement Thursday.

It bears mentioning that this isn't the first time the Toronto exhibit - billed as "the largest Banksy exhibit ever assembled!" - has drawn widespread attention of the less-than-positive variety.

As the BBC reports, Canadian authorities are investigating the theft and have released video footage of the crime.

At 5:04 a.m. Sunday, a man was seen on the surveillance video walking through a door into a space where the exhibition was being held.

Germany coach rues 'very bad' first half in Mexico loss
"Our cover was often not good and we were left many times with just Jerome [Boateng] and myself at the back", centre-back Hummels said.

"It's a handsome piece and we hope to get it back", said Ross, adding that he would not comment further during the police investigation. He passes through two large galleries in the midst of being installed before arriving at a wall hung with several framed prints.

The suspect wore glasses, a black jacket, a green camouflage baseball hat, blue jeans rolled at the cuff, and a pair grey running shoes, police say.

The exhibit runs until 11 July.

The show was curated by Steve Lazarides, the anonymous British street artist's former agent.

Just this week, in fact, Banksy spoke on this point, talking about submitting work to a Royal Academy exhibition under an anagrammed pseudonym and getting refused.
