One person found dead at Bonnaroo Festival Far Out Staff

One man has been found dead at Bonnaroo Festival, officials have confirmed.

At 10:05 a.m. this morning, patrons approached the medical team in Plaza 6 requesting medical assistance for a 35-year-old male patron in his vehicle. Festival-goers contacted the medical team in the Plaza 6 camping area and asked them to assist the man. The medical team found him unresponsive in his vehicle and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Graves said dozens of people have been treated for heat-related issues at the festival that began Thursday in Manchester and runs through Sunday.

It is the only fatality so far at the festival, authorities said. According to the news station, his body has been sent to Nashville for an autopsy. Bonnaroo has had a strong safety record with no deaths at the festival in 3 years.
