President Trump slams Robert De Niro as 'a very Low IQ individual'

Robert De Niro introduces a performance by Bruce Springsteen at the 72nd annual Tony Awards

US President Donald Trump hit back at Robert De Niro on Tuesday after the Oscar-winning actor used an expletive to condemn him at the Tony Awards.

His tweet comes in response to De Niro's speech at the Tony Awards on Sunday, in which the Oscar victor simply said "fuck Trump" to a room of cheering people. "It's no longer 'Down with Trump, ' it's 'F-k Trump'".

Representatives for De Niro have not immediately returned a request for comment.

CBS leaned on the bleep button during its live trophy-show broadcast's seven-second delay, so viewers on Sunday night had not heard the unexpurgated version of the well-known Trump critic's remarks. As I said earlier today: Anyone can make war, but only the most courageous can make peace!

"If Donald Trump is going to insult Robert De Niro's intelligence, he probably should learn how to spell 'too, '" one user said pointing out the fact that POTUS wrote "to many shots" instead of "too". "It's f-- Trump." He did not elaborate on his comment. He delivered his response on his Twitter account while on his way back to the United States.

Robert De Niro Bleeped At Tony Awards For Trump F-Bomb
He took this opportunity to slam Trump and did not hold back at all, even going as far as to use NSFW language. It all started when De Niro introduced a Bruce Springsteen performance at the awards show.

But in a tweet, Mr Trump described the actor as "a very Low IQ individual".

How no one has looped that into one of those 10-hour videos of him just saying "Fuck Trump" over and over is beyond me. In January of this year, the actor called Trump a "f**king idiot" in a profanity-laced rant.

Oh, yeah, and he went ahead and nicknamed Robert De Niro "Punchy".

"I watched him. and truly believe he may be "punch-drunk"," he said.
