Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey sparks backlash over eating Chick-fil-A

Twitter CEO jack Dorsey tweeted a screen shot of his purchases and savings made by using Chick-fil-A’s mobile app

Dorsey shared a screenshot on Sunday showing he had received a 10 per cent discount at a Los Angeles branch of the fast food chain.

Dorsey's meal caught the attention of critics like journalist Soledad O'Brien, who pointed out the issue with supporting a company associated with anti-LGBTQ views during Pride Month.

Numerous others weighed in to show their support for the restaurant and for Dorsey's right to tweet about it if he wished.

Dorsey was also attacked by Patreon engineer Erica Joy, who replied, "Please delete this or follow up with how much free advertising you're going to give GLAAD".

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are already engaged
The pair, made their relationship Instagram official in May, shortly after the No Tears Left to Cry singer split from Mac Miller . Davidson, too, was newly single after ending a lengthy relationship with Larry David's daughter, Cazzie David .

However, it appears the LGBTQ community hasn't forgotten that Cathy, a devout Christian, told a Christian radio that his company supported "the biblical definition of the family unit" and that gay marriage was "inviting God's judgment on the United States". "You're right. Completely forgot about their background", he said.

Mr. Dorsey apologized in a tweet to Ms. O'Brien, saying he had forgotten about Chick-fil-A's stance on marriage. You mean a company that stands by its Christian values? Many accused Dorsey of aiding Chick-fil-A's alleged bigotry.

The fast food chain came under scrutiny in 2012 after CEO Dan T. Cathy - who's also son of its late founder - expressed his disapproval of same-sex marriage. The company has made great efforts to engage urban audiences, doing remarkably well in New York City even against the mayor's call for a boycott. "Back to the part where @jack is boosting a notoriously anti-LGBTQ company in the middle of #Pride month", wrote one user.

Another user responding to Dorsey wrote, "Which is?" "When a guy feels he has to apologize for eating a chicken sandwich?!"
