'Aggressive people' of Montenegro could spark WWIII

Trump Questions NATO Commitment to Defend Montenegro

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Montenegrins are strong, "very aggressive" people and suggested he fears NATO's newest member could drag the alliance into a major war.

Following Mr Trump's comments on Montenegro, Republican Senator John McCain condemned the president's attitude.

During an interview with Fox News' Tucker Carlson, the anchor asked Trump about his opinion on Article 5, NATO's joint defense agreement, in relation to NATO's newest member.

Trump went on to describe Montenegrins as a "very strong" and "very aggressive people".

Trump imagined a scenario where Montenegro's "aggressive people" could spark World War III with Russian Federation.

"We call on President Trump not to worry about the non-existent war ambitions of Montenegro, but to try to understand our democratic system", the party said in a statement, before blaming the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists and Prime Minister Dusko Markovic for damaging Podgorica's image overseas. "Add that to your little equation on Montenegro", Trump told Carlson.

The coffee chain will begin phasing plastic straws out of all of its stores, with the transition expected to be complete by 2020. The products are manufactured in part by using plastic that was cleaned up off of beaches and from coastal communities.

In the interview that took place on the heels of the summit with Putin, where Trump received intense backlash for publicly defending Putin's denial of Russian interference in the 2016 election, Trump also criticized the Federal Bureau of Investigation and former intelligence official John Brennan.

A public opinion survey conducted by the prominent CEDEM monitor in May suggested that 47 per cent of Montenegrins are against North Atlantic Treaty Organisation membership, while 45 per cent said it was good for the country.

Wait, so Russia ALSO doesn't like Montenegro? "It's a way to say to Russian Federation and others, 'you can't meddle and you can't play geopolitics in the Western Balkans because we are part of the Western Balkans'".

Since joining the alliance, Montenegro has sent troops to a NATO-led mission in Afghanistan. Last year, Russian Federation did exactly that when it launched an election day attack on the Balkan country during its election day. "An environment was created in which the pro-Western forces were supposed to lose".

Trump also patted himself on the back for NATO's increased defense spending, taking credit for funds member countries had previously pledged. But given his controversially warm attitude towards Putin as of late, experts are questioning whether Trump is merely saber-rattling or could truly do away with a decades-old cornerstone of worldwide relations.

"Now, I understand, but that's the way it was set up".
