Barcelona complete £32m signing of defender Clement Lenglet from Sevilla

Clement Lenglet

According to Sport, Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet will soon become the Catalan club's second signing of the transfer window. Lenglet has deposited his buyout clause with Sevilla and from this moment onwards is a Barcelona player.

The Frenchman has signed a five-year contract at Camp Nou, with Barca having paid his €35.9 million (£31.7m/$41.9m) release clause.

However, Sevilla were unequivocal in their stance and both president Jose Castro and director of football Joaquin Caparros said there would be no deal with the Catalan club.

Lenglet became one of Europe's most sought-after defenders at Sevilla, following his arrival from Ligue 1 side Nancy in January 2017.

Ranbir Kapoor Reunites With Hirani?
The book, which is yet to be titled, will be put on shelves on the actor's 60th birthday (July 29, 2019). The film has been loved a lot by the critics and the audience.

It is believed that Lenglet is now in pre-season training with Pablo Machin's Sevilla, but will leave their camp and travel to Barca soon, where he will be presented as their new signing, according to Sport.

Lenglet's deal includes a release clause, which stands at €300m (£264m/$350m), and runs until June 30, 2023.

Manager Ernesto Valverde will likely use France youth worldwide Lenglet alongside Thomas Vermaelen as back-ups for starting centre-back duo Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti.

Mina's the favourite to be allowed to go - be that on loan or permanently with a buy-back option - but Paulinho's return to China means Barca no longer need to free up a non-EU spot in the squad.
