Drake Reportedly Has Another Release Lined Up to Accompany New Record Deal

Singer Drake speaks to the crowd prior to the Floyd Mayweather Jr. v Conor Mc Gregor World Press Tour at Budweiser Stage

Scorpion now has seven tracks in the top 10.

"Scorpion" debuted on the chart the same week Billboard changed how it counts streaming plays. And every single one of its tracks ended up in the Billboard Hot 100, giving Drake a record-breaking 27 songs on the singles chart at the same time, including his features on BlocBoy JB's "Look Alive" and Lil Baby's "Yes Indeed".

Drake's record company, Republic Records, said the 31-year-old musician, who was the biggest seller in 2016, was the first artist to reach one billion plus streams globally across all platforms in one week of release.

As many fans know, Drizzy suggested he would leave Cash Money Records in the album's A-side track "Is There More": "Soon as this album drop I'm out of the deal/In the house playin" D'Angelo, "How Does It Feel?'"

Drake now has a career total of 31 to Jackson's 30 with the late King of Pop's 30th being his appearance on Drake's new single, "Don't Matter to Me".

'Reckless': Trump escalates trade war with another $US200b in Chinese tariffs
High-level talks between the two countries starting in May failed to deliver a breakthrough to head off a trade war. President Donald Trump last month threatened additional tariffs against China if it retaliated.

Drake's new album Scorpion is comfortably topping the NZ Album Chart. It sold 732k copies in the first week with streaming numbers included. There's some complicated math behind them, but what they basically mean is that if an album's songs are downloaded or streamed on services like Spotify often enough, it can boost the album's chart position just like a traditional physical sale would.

The Toronto-based artist "boasts seven songs in the top 10 simultaneously".

The double-album, released on Friday, June 29, 2018, is Drake's eight consecutive album to find a No. 1 spot.

Rewind to April 4, 1954, and the first five songs on the Billboard Hot 100 was dominated, in order, by these tunes from The Beatles: "Can't Buy Me Love", "Twist and Shout", "She Loves You", "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "Please Please Me".
