England got carried away with talk of the final, insists Roy Keane

Roy Keane

Football pundits and former worldwide players Roy Keane and Ian Wright went head-to-head in an amusing live on-air debate, after England's exit to Croatia in the World Cup semi-final.

Keane had missed the last few games of ITV's coverage from Russian Federation but he will be there for the final, on Sunday, and was in-situ for the semi-final clash between England and Croatia.

"Roy Keane is back with us to restore some calm". But Wright, clearly a little emotional after the nerve-shredding defeat to Croatia, was not intimidated by the Irish hardman's reputation. On about the final, football's coming home...'

"I don't mind you being happy, but you were planning the final, where the parades were".

Ahead of the game, Keane was already drawing the ire of English supporters on the "It's Coming Home" bandwagon. "The final and (finalists) France", said Keane.

"I made the point a few weeks ago, tongue in cheek, but you have to focus on one game".

Stormy Daniels arrested at OH strip club, lawyer says
An Ohio law known as the Community Defense Act prohibits anyone who isn't a family member to touch a nude or semi-nude dancer. He said he expected his client to be released on bail and that she would be charged with a misdemeanor for allowing touching.

"And I was right".

As fellow pundits Gary Neville and Lee Dixon laugh, Wright says: "We weren't talking about the final, we were having a laugh". "The things is we were just trying to like.we were happy and you weren't happy for us being happy at that time".

As Keane built up steam, Wright interrupts to insist he never declared England were going to win the World Cup.

'Get excited when they get to the final.

That caution proved to well founded as Mario Mandzukic's extra-time victor fired Croatia into Sunday's final against France as England's expense in a tense semi-final in Moscow, with Keane biding his time before revisiting his previous discussion with Wright.

He took some flak, on social media, for his forthright views before, during and after the game but, when it came to the crunch, he cut to the core of England's failure.
