Ethics Experts Request Investigation Into Jordan in Ohio State Scandal

Matt Gaetz says questions about Jim Jordan are 'deliberate' attempt to hurt probe of FBI conduct

One former Ohio State University wrestler told CNN that he and other wrestlers openly gripe about how Strauss would shower with the athletes, and how Strauss would always "check for hernias" during any visit, checking their genitals even if they had an appointment for an ankle sprain or other injury.

As more former students came forward to dispute Jordan's claim, the OH representative on Friday told Fox News' Bret Baier the abuse was only discussed in "locker room conversations".

Former wrestler Mike DiSabato has said that Jordan is "absolutely lying" when he says he did not know about the allegations.

More recently, Jordan has accused DiSabato of "bullying" him by sending emails to him about the alleged abuses at OSU.

"It was there. He knew about it because it was an everyday occurrence", Range told the Post.

Norm Eisen, who was a part of former President Barack Obama's transition team and served as the special counsel for Ethics and Government Reform for the White House, said the truth needs to come out about what Jordan did or did not know. "I think the only reason he's being dragged into it is because of his political stature, and I think that's bad".

Range told the Washington Post that he never discussed the alleged abuse directly with Jim Jordan.

But other wrestlers reached by The Dispatch disputed the idea that Jordan knew, or said while there was open joking about Strauss' behavior, that jokes do not equal reports of abuse. Jordan claims he had no knowledge of the doctor's alleged predations.

He also argued that the man in question, the doctor who allegedly abused the wrestlers, is dead, "so this isn't even about prosecuting him", he said.

Wonder Woman surprises sick children in hospital
Wesley Coller, Rebecca Steel Roven, Geoff Johns, Richard Suckle and Walter Hamada have also been named as executive producers . The blockbuster movie star stopped by in complete costume as her character Diana Prince, Amazonian woman princess on Friday.

Dunyasha Yetts, who wrestled at Ohio State in 1993 and 1994, said he and others told Jordan about Strauss.

"There's no way unless he's got dementia or something that he's got no recollection of what was going on at Ohio State", one of the accusers, former UFC world champion Mark Coleman, told media outlets this week.

Independent investigators are reviewing allegations against Strauss by men from 14 sports and are also looking into his work for student health services and at his off-campus medical clinic.

Jordan is a co-founder of the conservative House Freedom Caucus and is considered a candidate to replace retiring House Speaker Paul Ryan.

"Conversations in a locker room are a lot different than people coming up and talking about abuse", Jordan said in an interview Friday evening with Fox News.

Jordan, 51, is conservative firebrand who came to Capitol Hill in 2007 and quickly rose in the ranks of power. Some said Strauss groped them barehanded during physicals, had them drop their trousers even while examining them for a cough or heartburn, and badgered students to go home with him.

The complaint argues that "there is a direct and irreconcilable conflict between the public statements made by seven former Ohio State student wrestlers that Rep. Jordan knew wrestling team members were being sexually abused by the team doctor, and Rep. Jordan's denial that he had any knowledge of the abuses".

In one email, a former Ohio State wrestler's widow condemned DiSabato as "vindictive and manipulative", citing a dispute she had with him over a memorial fund set up in her husband's name. "Given the inclusion of Perkins Coie in the mix, the likelihood increases that money has already changed hands to purchase a drive-by character assassination of beloved conservative Republican Congressman Jim Jordan". "The speaker will await the findings of that inquiry".
