European specifications revealed for Suzuki Jimny Motors

New Suzuki Jimny launched in Japan to arrive in other markets soon

Suzuki claims that the new vehicle should boast better on road manners too though, promising improved ride quality thanks to the more rigid ladder frame, plus a new steering damper which aims to minimise jolts and vibration through the steering wheel.

Replacing the 1.3-liter that we've found underpowered in our test drive of the previous generation, the 1.5-liter in the all-new Jimny delivers "ample torque at low revolutions". As such, the 101bhp power output and 130Nm of torque are adequate rather than sparkling.

SUZUKI AUSTRALIA confirmed, last night, the arrival Down Under of the all-new Jimny. Transmission choices for the Jimny and Jimny Sierra are the same: 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.

Kane says ‘we’re buzzing’ after reaching World Cup semi
The National Team's spirited run at the World Cup has provided a burst of energy for everyday laymen and women. It's probably not sunk in", Kane said.

Suzuki is expected to open sales of the new Jimny in European markets in 2019, whereas there is no word on when it will be brought to India. Just one you could nearly carry in your pocket.

Ground clearance comes in at 210 mm, while the latest-generation model boasts an approach angle of 37 degrees, a breakover angle of 28 degrees and a departure angle of 49 degrees. Suzuki claims that it's still a functional and straightforward environment though, and that the switches are all large enough to operate while wearing gloves.

Two folding rear seats allow for up to 377 litres of luggage space, which is 53 litres more than in the old Jimny. The central console is centred around a seven-inch touchscreen at higher trim levels, which includes Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity. The boot floor and the backs of the rear seats are coated in plastic for protection against dirt and stains. Five utility screw holes are available on each side under the quarter windows along with four luggage hook screw holes around the floor area. If you are a fan of Maruti/Suzuki's philosophy of tackling off-road terrain - combine a lightweight, but tough chassis with a high-revving petrol engine and a simple but effective off-road drivetrain -, the Jimny should rank high on your list. The auto can be operated in 2H front-wheel-drive mode most of the time, maximising fuel economy. On the front of safety features, the new Jimny gets forward braking assist, six airbags, lane departure warning, weaving alert, ESP and ABS. The new Jimny sticks with low range gear selector for its 4WD system to the former system to maximise its off-road adjustability.
