JetBlue flight crew credited with saving life of French bulldog

Steven and Michele Burt

Michele and Steven Burt were flying with their three dogs from Florida to Worcester, Massachusetts, on a JetBlue flight when they noticed their three-year old French bulldog, Darcy, was struggling. Michele and Steven Burt were on a Jet Blue flight Thursday from Florida to MA when they noticed something wrong with their French bulldog Darcy.

Darcy, who was safely tucked into her carrier under the seats in front of the couple, was breathing heavily.

Flight attendants jumped into action, bringing ice, water and a small oxygen mask for the dog.

When a flight attendant "politely" told Burt that it was airline policy that the dog remain under the seat in its carrier, Burt apparently told them that Darcy 'appeared to be in medical distress'.

They placed a breathing mask over Darcy's nose and mouth and, thankfully, she responded to the extra oxygen nearly immediately.

Crew member Renaud Spencer holds Darcy after the dog was feeling better.

Burt said Darcy's condition quickly improved.

These flight attendants are being hailed for looking after their passengers - no matter their species - during their time of need.

Yaşar Güler appointed as Turkey's new Chief of Staff
Hours later, Erdogan announced the make-up a new streamlined cabinet which included his son-in-law as finance minister. The role of prime minister has also been eliminated, and the president will now be able to pick his own Cabinet.

A woman has thanked flight attendants for saving her dog's life after they gave the pup an oxygen mask.

After a few minutes, Darcy became more alert and was able to breathe normally.

"Renaud and Diane saved a life, some may reduce the value of the life because Darcy is a canine, I do not".

Burt ended her letter by confirming that Darcy "has made a complete recovery".

Fenster then said he "decided that we needed to consider using oxygen to support the animal".

JetBlue released a statement to ABC News about the incident, which could have been unsafe had flight crew not reacted.

"We all want to make sure everyone has a safe and comfortable fight, including those with four legs", said JetBlue's statement.

The owners snapped a photo of Renaud posing, smiling, with Darcy before getting off the flight. "We're thankful for our crew's quick thinking and glad everyone involved was breathing easier when the plane landed in Worcester".
